Sara sent this cheery postcard. A very good yellow for a March day.
Sara was hoping the postcard reached me on Friday (it arrived on Monday), and she wished me a happy day.

And we sign off on our project with this postcard. Once again, both of our top Buns was Ginny.
This was a fun one from Project Pack No. 1. I especially loved how using the white pencil and smudging things really brought depth to the Zentangles.
I missed the various sing along showings back in the day, so I jumped at the chance to attend this round.
Here’s my gift bag. You can see the invite to the Captain’s Ball, the curtains, some edelweiss, and cards to hold up while singing “How Do You Solve a Problem Like Maria?”
The opposite side of the question mark and Maria cards were the will-o’-the-wisp and the flibbertigibbet, of course.
Our host gave us our cues for yelling things out, and there was much lusty singing, which was fun.
Overall, a good time at the movies.
I bought my first Zentangle Project Pack so I could draw white tangles on a black background. These are my first three tiles. They are Apprentice tiles and are bigger than the standard tile.
I especially like the first two. They look complex, but were easy to carry out.
Aside from it being Pi Day, it was also a day that one of my coworkers posted a picture of the highway near her house in California.
And then we get a fun joke about pi/pie!
This Zentangle shows off Bales (upper left), my favorite Hollibaugh (top), Beelight (upper right); what might be a Bales variation (lower right) and Chillon (lower left)>
I really like how easy Beelight was, and how Chillon buildts to Bales.
The Ramblers celebrated International Women’s Day with a purple party. There was great dancing and great purple.
It turned out I didn’t have any purple clothing, so I took the picture.
Bunheads episode 15. Ariel, like me, loved the dancing in this episode, but not much else. She reports that on Bunhead Bros she enjoyed learning about the origin of the quote “Everything is beautiful at the ballet.”
Bunheads Episode 16: Ariel reports that she wanted to like this episode more than she did. We both appreciated Ginny (because she’s the best bunhead). And we both loved Bunhead Bros because we love Jason Mantzoukas’s enthusiasm.
Does your house have a stumpary? The Leighwood House does.
I love this open plan with the exposed beams and built-ins that help to define where the kitchen is. When it rains, you can hear the rain on the roof.
An old-fashioned plug
The never-remodeled kitchen. (Sara and Shawn are only the second owners.) It’s a good kitchen layout. Not too big, not too small.
A built-in spot for a clock, or maybe originally for a phone?
And the two friends that hang out there, Callie and Leo.
