Three sentence movie reviews: The Italian Job (1969)

Yet another “why not?” at the library that turned out to be an excellent view.  It’s speedily plotted, it’s funny in the small details and you get to see those cute minis driving around Italy.  It also has the best ending to a heist movie I’ve seen in a very long time.

Cost:  free from library.
Where watched:  at home.

  1. This is the film that inspired my father's love of Mini Coopers. It is why he owns one today, I believe. I loved the remake, so I bet I would like this, too!

  2. I found myself wondering if it inspired the ending of "Lock, Stock, and Two Smoking Barrels," one of my all-time favorite movie endings (and another cliffhanger). Loved Michael Caine in this.
