Three sentence movie reviews: Dallas Buyers Club

I found this movie to be a bit of a meander and repetitive and so I don’t recommend it if you like a tight, quick story.  However, if you are interested in great acting, or a well-executed period piece, this is your film.  Despite being difficult for me to look at*  Matthew McConaughey was a marvel, as was the always under-appreciated Jared Leto and the similarly appraised Jennifer Garner.**

  1. I have a friend who saw a sneak preview here a couple of months ago & loved it. I didn't even understand what it was about until recently though (From the title, I thought it had something to do with the stock exchange, lol.). This will probably be another Netflix or library movie for me.

  2. I think that Mr. Smarmy and Mr. Leto are likely to get Oscar nods for their work. I haven't even heard that Jennifer Garner was in it, too bad as you say, she is quite good. We need to see this, but the AIDS factor might be too much (as you know the family connection can make it too sad to bear)
