This is from Peifang who lives in China. She hopes I will like her card. I did, as I think Expos are very interesting things. I’m hoping to go to one someday. This card also included pretty stamps.
And a handy explanation of the World Expo 2010 emblem.

Postcard from Pennsylvania
Postcard from Russia
This is from Irina, who visited Nice last year. Irina includes three facts:
1. Recently I ran a crossfit group. I lift and squat.
2. I’m 29 years old. My boyfriend younger than me for 10 years.
3. Now I’m reading the 1984 by George Orwell
I found all these facts quite interesting. Especially that Crossfit is in Russia.
Postcard from the Netherlands
This is from Astrid (one of my favorite names) and she includes the quote “Change the world, start by yourself” Astrid visited Cinque Terre and will go back this year.
Postcards from Louisana, Texas, and three from Pennsylvania.
Regular commenter Heather sent me a passel of postcards from her travels. Here they are.
This is from the stopover in New Orleans where the Wolf Pack rode one of these carriages through the French Quarter.
Everyone’s favorite Pennsylvania town: Intercourse. Heather also lists other dubious names in the area: Bird-in-hand, Blue Ball, Paradise, Virginville, Smoketown and Mountville.
Here’s a pretty one from Texas. This is where they celebrated L’s fourth birthday.
I do very much enjoy unusual recipe postcards. Perhaps someday I will make myself a shoo-fly pie. I notice that this recipe card makes two pies. That’s a lot of shoe-fly pie.
I love this incredibly long laundry line. I wonder if they hang their unmentionables somewhere else?
Postcard from the Czech Republic
This if from Alexandr, who lives in Hrebec which is near Prague in the Czech Republic. He reports that he is a graphic designer, 40 (like me!) and has two sons. (not like me!) Interestingly, he was born in Siberia, much like the Postcrossers who sent me the postcard from Chicago.
Postcard from Portugal
This is from Sara, though not the Sara who often comments on this blog. This Sara managed to include a quote–Freedom is the space that happiness needs”– plus information about her beautiful city and three facts about herself. Well done Sara.
Postcard from Belarus
This is from Oksana, who sent me a picture of the Belarus National Library which made me tremendously happy because I love libraries. I’m also interested to know what the other landmarks pictured on the front are.
Postcard from Russia
From Dena who is from Moscow and who loves the old streets in Moscow. “Moscow subway transport looks unlike it’s foreign analogs” she tells me. Indeed!
Postcards from Minnesota, Minnesota, and Minnesota
These three are from Sara, whom you might know from the comments section. She writes me from her Spring Break, which is a week before my Spring Break. She reports that the boot was a very fun curiosity stop. Apparently Minnesota has quite a few such stops.
These are two postcards of the Mary, Queen of the Universe Shrine. Which, even for the Catholics seems like an overstatement.
Sara wonders if I will get all three postcards in one day and I can report that they did arrive all at once.
