I love the design of this postcard, and the colors, which are colors I wouldn’t put together.
Sara also mentions that she likes the stylized version of the icons. She writes that she really enjoys the climate of where she lives now.
The postcard text on the back says: Aptly named, this is one of the largest living trees on earth. I’m not sure why that tickles me so.
Sara sends me a birthday week greeting and says she’s excited to see what my cake is this year.
Sara reports they have been waiting (and waiting) for their solar and HVAC and that it’s been cold in the house because of it.
I also felt it was important to take this picture for reasons I now can’t remember. Perhaps I was enjoying the postmark dovetailed with the subject?
Sara reports that she has a no-meetings work-from-home day. Hurrah.
Also that she’s ready to be done with the semester, but has two months left to go. Less of a hurrah.
Remember how I was in the Spokane airport for a few hours? On the same day, Sara and Shawn were also in the Spokane airport! They had been in Coeur d’Alene for a wedding and had a lovely time.
Sara sent along wedding congratulations in my favorite form of wordplay.
Sara’s cat was in his final days and she stepped away to give him some time on his own. This was the last postcard she wrote before finding out the surprise wedding.
The back of the postcard says: California’s rugged North Coast.
Sara adds: Where? Not sure. It’s a big coast.
I checked the website listed on the back, but it’s no longer functional.
Sara reports that she is getting her task goals ready/laid out and that she gets to go back to her office today.
I enjoy this for two reasons. I like puns, so this is very fun. And it reminds me of my college friend who said, “you go, girl” enough that her mother thought it would be a fun surprise to get a personalized license plate that said that.
Sara reports that she is thrilled to hear of my Seaside trip and that she is trying to add summer fun to her remaining summer weekends.
The thing I love about this postcard is that Sara and I have the exact same reaction. Ugh!
