Remember how I was in the Spokane airport for a few hours? On the same day, Sara and Shawn were also in the Spokane airport! They had been in Coeur d’Alene for a wedding and had a lovely time.

Postcard from Elks Temple
This was mailed in Portland, but it’s from Laurie who wrote the postcard in Tacoma on 8/19 to commemorate that we got married!
It was fun having Burt and Laurie as our witnesses!
Postcard from New Mexico
Zoe writes from her Santa Fe trip that this staircase was constructed without nails by a carpenter who showed up in answer to a prayer, built the staircase, and disappeared without accepting payment.
She also told me that it was built as an afterthought because the male choirs used to climb up a ladder to get to the loft and the church had to change that when the ladies joined.

Sara’s cat was in his final days and she stepped away to give him some time on his own. This was the last postcard she wrote before finding out the surprise wedding.

Sara adds: Where? Not sure. It’s a big coast.
I checked the website listed on the back, but it’s no longer functional.
Sara reports that she is getting her task goals ready/laid out and that she gets to go back to her office today.

I enjoy this for two reasons. I like puns, so this is very fun. And it reminds me of my college friend who said, “you go, girl” enough that her mother thought it would be a fun surprise to get a personalized license plate that said that.
Sara reports that she is thrilled to hear of my Seaside trip and that she is trying to add summer fun to her remaining summer weekends.

The thing I love about this postcard is that Sara and I have the exact same reaction. Ugh!

Sara asks if I have seen this film. She says, “I heard Pop Culture Happy Hour discuss it. Sounded both good and rather not for me.”
And the Rather Good But Not For Me category is where I have it slotted too. So I haven’t seen it.
