Sara reports that they went to their favorite out-of-town winery that has a fabulous pizza oven. It sounds delicious!
Aside from the fun pun on the front, there’s a winking owl sticker on the back that says Owlsome Job! Double pun for the win!
Sara reports of her great experience watching a local production of A Midsummer Night’s Dream. Apparently the cast had COVID illnesses to deal with, but, despite that, their Puck was great and Wall was one of the funniest performances of Wall she had seen.
Sara wishes that I have a lovely four-day week after our three-day weekend. Her hope was that I would receive the postcard during the four-day week, but alas, it arrived at the beginning of the five-day week after the four-day week that was after the three-day weekend.
For their three-day weekend, Sara and Shawn visited Sonoma and had a great time.
You will note that the postmark tells us that this postcard traveled back to Northern California from Idaho before making its way north to Portland. Sara also gives this information with her opening greeting. She reports that it was nice to be back in the Treasure Valley for two weeks.

Postcard 2 of 2! Sara reports that the waves were not this high when they were visiting. Also that the sun has been out every day—quite perfection, really.
Having experienced the foggy summer mornings in the Humboldt area, I understand exactly why she says that.
Apparently the last family reunion was in 2016. Sara reports that all of the kids have grown so much, and some of them didn’t exist yet. She’s enjoying hanging out with the family.
Another delightful French postcard from Sara. Rochechouart is the place where Sara’s stepmother Barbie (and her two sisters) bought a house. This is a picture of the chateau that is a five-minute walk from the house.
Sara reports that Barbie has invited me to come and stay! Such a good invitation!

Astute readers of this blog will note that Sara has sent me this postcard before. That’s okay. Newport probably isn’t a hotbed of unique postcards.
Sara reports that they are at Shawn’s family reunion and they are enjoying the company.
Sara reports that they drove two hours from Rochechouart to his medieval city built into the rock. Also that they got glace and crepes!

Sara reported that they stayed in a wonderful small boutique hotel that their friends found for them. Also that Brașov was a great jumping off point for many adventures.
