My first thought? If we are talking state-wide, there’s not a ton of competition. My second thought? Who would vote for this? Reading the fine print, I see that readers of the Salem Statesman Journal were the voters. And the contest was best of the mid-valley. Which brings me back to my original thought about the lack of competition.
Haha, well it wouldn’t have quite the same impact if they were completely honest about the “contest.” I really hate casinos. I’ll be perfectly happy if I never step foot in one again, even one voted the best in mid-valley Oregon by the readers of one small-time newspaper.
