I, too, am a fan of the Portland Airport Carpet, which has it’s own Twitter account. But the breathless and extensive coverage of its replacement is starting to remind me of “Panda Watch” as depicted in the movie Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy.

It has its own Twitter account? OMG. The carpet removal has popped up on my Facebook quite a few times. I get it, it’s iconic, but it is getting to be a bit much.
