Three sentence movie reviews: Girls Season 3

Season three continued the uneven plotting that appeared in previous seasons and as usual, I was quite happy to overlook this, because I enjoy the show.  The girls are getting older, (25) and do/do not seem to be settling in their lives.  Great performances from all made this required viewing and I’m hoping that I don’t have to wait another year for Season 4 to appear on DVD.

  1. I am glad the the unevenness was not a deal breaker. I really like Adam Driver. I believe that he is in this show as well.

  2. I think this is the season I’m currently watching? I can only stand to watch an episode or two at a time. It’s not that I dislike it (if I did I’d stop watching) but that it’s a lot of confrontation and drama packed into one show. I loved the episode where Lena’s character went to see her grandma in the hospital and you got to see the dysfunction in her family.

    1. I think that was my favorite episode, because they totally nailed the Mother/Aunt’s sister relationship. My other favorite one was the road tripping episode–Shosh has some great lines in that one. And the beach weekend. And Marnie being pretty out of control in general.

Yeah. There was a lot to like about this season.
