24/7 is something entirely different than the improper fraction of 24/7, which I can’t recreate in this blog, but which is in the text above. 24/7 means “all the time” namely 24 hours a day, 7 days per week. 24/7 means 3 and 3/7 of something.

The snarky response might be to say that neither is the Oregonian, any more. Too bad.
I'm nearly convinced that newspapers don't hire editors at all any longer. The online articles are the worst. They always have terrible grammar & spelling, lack objectivity, and are organized poorly. It's sad.
