Postcard from Minnesota

This is from Sara, who obtained this postcard through a stationary subscription she received as a present.  I was intrigued by the idea of a stationary subscription, so I looked into it myself.  And may I say that in the video I watched, one of the women had a very interesting hair style.  And now I’ve just run deep into a rabbit hole because apparently there is more than one company that has stationary subscriptions.  If someone wants to spend an overly large amount of money on a gift subscription for me, I liked Nicely Noted the best.

Postcards from Germany and Chicago

My first Postcrossing postcards in months and they both arrive on the same day.  I send two postcards per week (Tuesday and Thursday) so it’s funny to me that so many return postcards arrive on the same day.

From Germany, this postcard is quite popular on Postcrossing, so says its sender.  I can see why.  Those are some impressive mailboxes.

This is from Chicago, from a couple who moved from Siberia in Russia.  They tell me that they visited Portland a few years ago and enjoyed themselves.

Postcard from Minnesota

This arrived today.  Each of these beautiful scenes are “wraps” for uility boxes in Sara’s neighborhood.  I hope to see them this summer in person.  My favorite in this series is the photo booth one.

Astute readers might have noticed that my Postcrossing postcards have not been coming from far-flung countries.  That’s because I took a haitus from Postcrossing and when I started up again, I was in a postcard deficit.  I had received more than I sent.  So I had to send a few without getting any in return.  I’ve evened everything up and new postcards from people I don’t know should be arriving soon.

Postcards from Graceland (via Texas) and Minnesota

This is from Heather, who picked out this card because the back also had a picture of the Graceland Kitchen.  Which is fab, I agree.  I’m not eating one of those sandwiches, though.  Nuh-uh.  You can’t make me.

This is from Sara, who got it while Christmas shopping at the Kate Spade store. It’s pretty, especially for an advertisement postcard.

Postcard from Texas (by way of California)

This is from regular commenter Jan, who bought this when she visited Austin for a wedding.  She tells me it’s her favorite postcard of Austin that she has ever seen.
Me too!  It was particularly great picking it out of the rest of the mail because I really had to study it to get it in the right direction and the cognitive dissonance while that happened was very fun.
