Having never seen this holiday classic, we filled the traditional Movie-on-Christmas-Eve-Afternoon slot with Will Ferrell as-human-raised-as-elf. The theater was sprinkled with families, so I was clued into the parts that kids found hilarious, and did a lot of laughing of my own. It was a good way to spend the penultimate day of the Christmas season.
Cost: $4.00
Where watched: Kennedy School

It may come as a surprise, but I have never seen this. I know it is a true classic, and I have seen a few little bits of it, but never actually sat down for the entire film. I love going to classic movies in the theater as the communal experience is always wonderful.
As it was also my first time, I am not terribly surprised that not everyone has seen this. Co-worker Zoe said it was one of those movies she watched multiple times because as an adolescent someone always wanted to watch it. Perhaps if we had procreated right after high school, our children would have driven us batty watching this repeatedly.
